A friend of my father is moving away, and needs to get rid of the car.
The car is a bit older than the one pictured, and is a dark red, from 2001, and has been sitting on his driveway for a couple months.
it needs the following to be done:
Brakes (one rotor is currently stuck on)
Handbrake cable needs to be replaced
A bit of bodywork needs to be done (rust).
I could take it and maybe sell it later. An SUV isn't my kind of "car", but I could hold on to it for a bit.

Take it and sell it. Fix the brakes and handbrake, rust only if it would improve the resale value enough.

Horrible car to drive! However if you can make a profit on it, go right on ahead.

I don't plan on keeping it for long for this reason, I could do the work, and put it up for sale.

I'll take a look at the rust later on this week, there also is a dent on the rear of the car that needs to get checked out.

They arent going for much as it is, Id say see the amount of work you will need to put in, if it is any more than what you mentioned, probably not worth the effort..
